Spirit and Clay was founded in 2000 in Williamston, MI.  Its first home was in a basement classroom at St. Katherine's Episcopal Church.   St. Katherine's supported my pottery ministry for many years.  Today, Spirit and Clay has a special place in an Amish-made shed sitting in my back yard in Lansing, MI. 

 

My greatest joy comes from making ware used for prayer and worship.  Most of my work is functional.  I primarily use stoneware for my pieces, but also use white stone and porcelain.
